The report from the Brazilian television station Bandeirantes reports on a case that began with a father’s suspicions and was confirmed with a DNA test.
Cláudio Alves never found similarities in his son. The doubts grew until the day he asked for a DNA test. The result was clear, he was not the biological father.
“I saw that the child didn’t have my features and for some reasons I requested this test”, explains Cláudio to .
The couple ended up separating and the woman decided to take a DNA test too. Within five days, she discovered that the child she had raised for three years was not her biological child after all.
There could only be one explanation, an exchange in the private maternity hospital in Inhumas, Brazil.
Another couple, who also had their baby on the same date in 2021 and in the same maternity ward, would have been victims of the same situation.
“I have never felt pain as great as this”, says another father to the Bandeirantes report.
The police are investigating the case, in which much still needs to be explained.
