The federal deputy (PT-RJ) stated that the next president of , , will be a gift to the government and reiterated that the party will not interfere in his work as head of the monetary authority.
“Galípolo will have our full support as president of the Central Bank,” the future PT leader told the Panel. “We will know how to understand the time and we do not want to interfere. He was deliberately working to worsen market expectations. Galípolo is skilled and will work to make Brazil successful.”
The deputy also stated that the inauguration of the new president of the Central Bank will be the best news for the Lula government in 2025, because Galípolo will be one of the main interlocutors with the market. “It’s a very big change compared to Campos Neto”, he highlights.
Campos Neto was always seen by Lula and allies as one of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
Lindbergh’s statements align with those of President Lula, who, this Friday (20), . “I want you to know that there will never, ever be any interference from the Presidency in the work you have to do at the Central Bank,” the president told Galípolo.
