The government () fired this Friday (20) the agent of the (Brazilian Intelligence Agency) Thiago Gomes Quinália, investigated by the PF () in the investigation that investigates clandestine actions in the agency during the government ().
Quinália’s dismissal for abandoning her position was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Friday. It is signed by Minister Rui Costa, from the Civil House, a department that has housed Abin since March 2023.

Investigations indicate that Quinália was part of a nucleus of the so-called “parallel Abin” that sought to link public authorities, including STF ministers and parliamentarians, to the PCC (First Command of the Capital).
Recently, the minister, rapporteur of the case at the STF, authorized the sharing of evidence from the investigation into the Abin case.

Investigations into the agency’s clandestine operations indicate that members tried to find connections that linked Supreme Court ministers to people who were targets of other investigations for irregularities. The PF investigation points out that the structure was used to attack the credibility of the electoral system, produce disinformation and illegally spy on authorities, such as STF ministers and senators.
According to the PF, councilor Carlos Bolsonaro was part of the political nucleus of the “parallel Abin” and benefited from confidential information from the agency, which was commanded by today’s federal deputy (PL-RJ), an ally of the Bolsonaro family.
The fourth phase of the operation, launched in July 2024, showed that the group was publishing false information on social media and tagging Carlos. Mostly, targeting senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-RS).
