Slovak actor Ján Koleník (45), to which work takes a lot of time he manages to follow social events in the country and often comments on politics. Openly in the past he said that he was horrified by the course taken by Slovakia especially after the parliamentary elections and the situation did not calm down even after the presidential elections.
For more than a year, it has been stuffy even in the department of cultureheaded by Martina Šimkovičová. Actors, experts and part of the public are rebelling against the minister. In support of Slovak culture, a march from SNP Square to Slobody Square took place in Bratislava on December 12.
The protest culminated in the Concert for the Future of Culture. Pavol Habera, Michael Kocáb with Karpatské chrbátmi, Vec, Ms. Elvis Pudding and others performed on stage. In the beginning, Martin Huba, Rebeka Poláková and Robert Roth spoke to the people.
SND actors are also involved in the matter. At the end of the performances, they read a protest statement, and recently Ján Koleník read one to the audience. “I like the SND drama troupe for its involvement, current dramaturgy, strong personalities and for its audience. We are with you, be with us,” he wrote on his social network and added a photo from the War and Peace performance. His colleague also responded to the post Zuzana Fialová: “We love you too. Come home already.’
