King Charles III, who has been diagnosed with cancer, joked about his health today saying he is “still alive” during a reception in London.
Charles has been undergoing treatment since February for cancer, the nature of which has not been disclosed
Traveling with his wife Camilla to Walthamstow, east of the British capital, the 76-year-old monarch was asked by a representative of the Sikh religious community how he was doing. “I’m still alive!”, he replied with a touch of humor.
He is undergoing treatment for cancer
King Charles has been undergoing treatment since February for cancer, the nature of which has not been made public.
The health of the royal family has been in the spotlight this year after it was first announced that King Charles III had been diagnosed with cancer and then in March that Princess Kate had been diagnosed with cancer.
The wife of Prince William, heir to the throne, revealed in September that she had completed chemotherapy.
Charles III continues his treatment, details of which have not been given.
The king, however, returned to his duties at the end of April, two and a half months after announcing that he was suffering from cancer.
In October, he continued his overseas travels, taking an 11-day trip to Australia and Samoa for the Commonwealth summit, along with his wife Camilla.
After returning from this trip, Camilla was diagnosed with a form of viral pneumonia.
