“The reality is exactly the opposite. Mrs. Maria Padilha proved – and this was recognized by the only valid ruling in the case filed by the former employee – that the working hours provided by law, that is, 44 hours per week, were never exceeded in the short period of 40 days of provision of services of the former employee and that there simply was no degrading work”, informed the note.

The legal process related to the accusation was initiated in 2021 and definitively archived in March 2023, according to the actress’s office. “The absurdity of the conduct of those involved in spreading this false news is highlighted by the lack of any judicial conviction in the case,” stated the official note.

Given the seriousness of the accusations, Maria Padilha has already contacted her lawyers and is taking the appropriate legal measures to hold those responsible for disseminating “false and defamatory” information accountable.
