More than 150,000 Enel customers remain without power in Greater São Paulo this Saturday morning (21), according to information from the concessionaire.
In total, there are 168,647 properties still without electricity in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, due to heavy rains this Friday afternoon (20). The company released the latest updated bulletin at 8am this Saturday.
According to the distributor, the number is equivalent to 2.03% of the more than 8 million properties served. In the capital of São Paulo alone, 118 thousand customers remain without power – equivalent to 2.13%.
Among the municipalities with the most affected customers at this time are Santo André (14,392), Mauá (13,763) and Osasco (8,269).
Around 7am today, more than 300,000 customers were without power in Greater SP. Enel reported that it continues “working to normalize the service”.
Heavy rain in São Paulo
The city of São Paulo entered a state of alert for rain at 4:27 pm this Friday. At 5:20 pm, a state of alert was declared in the areas corresponding to the sub-prefectures of Penha and Itaquera and, at 5:50 pm, in Itaim Paulista and São Miguel Paulista.

At around 7:30 pm, the entire capital left the state of attention and alert.
In the early afternoon, the city was on alert between 12:54 pm and 2:14 pm.
According to the state’s Civil Defense, the municipalities most affected by the storm were Pirapora do Bom Jesus, Osasco and Mauá.
