Several people were injured on Saturday in the city of Debrecen in northeastern Hungary in an accident involving three passenger cars. One vehicle crashed into pedestrians after colliding with another, while the other ran into a group of people waiting for a connection at a bus stop. With reference to the index.hu server, the TASR correspondent in Budapest informs about it.
Emergency services reported several injuries, however, the exact numbers are not yet known. The accident happened in the morning in the center of Debrecen at the intersection of Csapó utca and Burgundia utca.
The directorate of the civil protection office of Hajdúcko-Biharská stolice said that three cars collided. One of them crashed into the gate of the building, the second rammed into pedestrians and the third into people waiting at the bus stop. The local fire brigade and rescue service intervened on the spot.
