This Friday (20), the PF () carried out search and seizure warrants against people linked to judge João Ferreira Filho, from the TJ-MT (Court of Justice of Mato Grosso). Ferreira Filho is removed from his duties by order of the CNJ (National Council of Justice) on suspicion of selling sentences.

This new phase of the Sisamnes operation involves those involved in financial transactions with the judge. Among the targets, according to information collected by Sheetare former advisors and the magistrate’s daughter, Alice Terezinha Artuso.

When contacted, the judge’s defense said he would not comment.

According to the PF, “successive suspicious real estate operations promoted by those under investigation” were identified to uncover the alleged illicit origin of the money.

The operation was authorized by the minister of the (Federal Supreme Court). The warrants were executed in Cuiabá (MT).

Zanin also ordered the removal from public duties of TJ-MT employees, who worked in the judge’s office, the collection of passports and the blocking of R$ 1.8 million from those being investigated.

João Ferreira and another judge Sebastião de Moraes Filho were dismissed in August by the CNJ, unanimously, on suspicion of having received financial advantages to benefit lawyer Roberto Zampieri in cases.

Zampieri went with ten shots last December. At the time, he was in the car, in front of his office in the capital of Mato Grosso. On his cell phone, the police found messages that raised suspicions of sales of decisions by the offices of four STJ ministers.

Suspicions about the sale of judgments began with decisions made by a judge in the conduct of processes involving land disputes.

The then magistrate of the 12th Criminal Court of Cuiabá Wladymir Perri had determined that any material handed over to the police regarding the murder case should be filed in physical form at the court.

The CNJ intervened in the case to avoid the possibility of destruction of evidence. Under the then management of minister Luis Felipe Salomão, the internal affairs department ordered that all material seized by the police be sent to the agency and that the judge be prevented from making any decision regarding the material.

Salomão determined that the extraction of copies that would be forwarded to the National Justice Inspectorate had to be accompanied by authority from the Cuiabá Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station, so that “the integrity of the content extracted in relation to that delivered by the Judiciary Police” could be attested. to the judicial unit”.

In the first phase of the Sisamnes operations, the PF carried out searches against the heads of the offices of the ministers of Isabel Gallotti and Og Fernandes (Daimler Alberto de Campos and Rodrigo Falcão de Oliveira Andrade, respectively).

The police arrested Anderson de Oliveira Gonçalves, identified by the investigation as the lobbyist responsible for intermediating the interests of criminals between lawyers and public servants.

Last month, in , the president of the STJ, minister Herman Benjamin, rejected classifying the current moment experienced by the court as a crisis. He defines the case as “isolated facts of a few civil servants that differ from the majority of the court’s members”.

The name of the operation refers to an episode from Persian mythology, which tells the story of judge Sisamnes, who allegedly accepted a bribe to hand down an unfair sentence.
