The governor of São Paulo, , will leave office for 15 days to travel abroad. With this, the vice-governor will take over the state administration.
Tarcísio leaves the government on December 27th and returns to activities on January 11th, as informed by him in a letter sent to on Wednesday (18th). In the statement, the governor says he will travel “to discuss private matters.”
When contacted, the Communications Secretariat of the Government of São Paulo only said that Tarcísio will spend the break with his family, without details about his destination.
Last year, the governor was absent for the same period to travel abroad — he left office on December 25th and returned on January 9th. The president of Alesp, , even took over the government for a day because Ramuth traveled to China to fulfill an official agenda before Tarcísio’s return.
On Wednesday (18), the governor of his first two years in office, boosting the value of investments made in the state, highlighting the partnership with the president () and leaving out thorny issues, such as Cracolândia.
The presentation at Palácio dos Bandeirantes for its secretaries, technical advisors and journalists lasted around two hours.
Tarcísio also did not talk about topics such as politics or his electoral future — seen as a possible candidate for President in 2026, he is in the state.
