Volkswagen announced this Friday that it has reached an agreement with workers’ unions in Germany to cut more than 35,000 jobs at its German units by 2030, in a socially responsible way, which will help the automaker reach more than 15 billion of euros in efficiency gains.
The agreement also foresees that the company will cut its capacity in the country by more than 700 thousand vehicles, the brand’s executive president, Thomas Schaefer, told reporters.
