The Cabo Branco Tourist Hub, in João Pessoa, will receive a new tourism, leisure and shopping complex. The project is from the WAM Experience chain, a company that manages 11 hotels and resorts in five states, operates water parks, and maintains a loyalty program with more than 100 thousand customers. The investment is approximately R$500 million.
The project will occupy 130 thousand square meters. The project envisages the construction of a hotel tower with 480 apartments, outlet with stores from recognized brands, an 80-meter panoramic ferris wheel and a gastronomic village. The complex will also have space for shows and events, contemplative trails and a theme park with a roller coaster.
According to Lucas Fiuza, CEO of WAM Experience, the objective is to create a space that serves both tourists and residents of the region. “The project was designed to enhance local culture and promote economic development,” he stated in a press release.

During the construction phase, the expectation is that more than 1,600 direct jobs and 2,500 indirect jobs will be created. Also according to WAM, the project will respect the environmental conservation of the region “promoting a harmonious coexistence between nature and logistical infrastructure”.
The Cabo Branco Tourist Center is considered the largest planned tourist complex in the Northeast. It occupies an area of 654 hectares, houses the Convention Center and has several other works in progress.
