Although they are high in calories (659 kcal/100g), they contain substances that can support maintaining proper body weight or losing excess weight. They do not fatten as they should and you should not be afraid of this.

The fat responsible for the high caloric value is mainly unsaturated fatty acids. Thanks to this, Brazil nuts have properties that support the nervous system. They will ensure the proper functioning of the brain and improve memory and learning new things. They may even help to protect or delaying the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

Brazil nuts are worth eating because they have properties protecting the heart and circulatory system. They can lower cholesterol levelsand increase the elasticity and strength of blood vessels. Thus, they will reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as: atherosclerosis.

Brazil nuts are really tasty and taste good on their own. You can safely snack on them during the day, between meals. You can do that with them diversify porridge or even morning cereal with milk.

Successfully add chopped Brazil nuts to vegetable or fruit salads. They will work well in sweet baked goods such as cookies, cakes, buns, but also e.g. in breads. You can also make healthy homemade peanut butter from these nuts.
