With the end of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo is starting to think about planning for 2025. The club, now with a new board, will look for reinforcements, while dealing with important departures, such as that of Gabigol.

Who did Flamengo hire for 2025?
So far, Flamengo has not announced any reinforcements for 2025. Negotiations should be intensified from December 18th, when the new board, headed by elected president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, takes office.

Flamengo negotiations: reinforcements for 2025
Flamengo first tries to adjust its board. Portuguese José Boto should be the football director.
For the squad, one target is striker Roger Guedes, currently at Al-Rayyan, in Qatar. The 28-year-old player has a contract until June 2027, but Rubro-Negro has already investigated the Qatari club and asked for prices. Another name mentioned in recent days for the red and black offensive sector was Richarlison, currently at Tottenham and with the Brazilian team. To count on the Premier League player, however, Flamengo must compete with rival Fluminense, which is also interested in repatriating the athlete.
Another name that appeared on the Rubro-Negra agenda was Roberto Firmino, ex-Liverpool, currently at Al-Ahli. So far there is no negotiation or proposal, but the player is pleased.
As for the midfield, the club may repatriate midfielder Lucas Paquetá, currently at West Ham.

- Gabigol: Flamengo’s idol will not have his contract renewed and has already said goodbye to the club.
Players who could leave Flamengo
- David Luiz: The 37-year-old defender’s contract expires at the end of the season. It is possible that the bond will not be renewed. The situation will be discussed between coach Filipe Luís and the new board.
Players returning from loan to Flamengo
- Pablo: the defender was on loan from Flamengo to Botafogo, where he had little space and dealt with injuries. The tendency is for him to be passed on to another club.
- Thiaguinho: 23-year-old striker had a good spell at Treze-PB and is back at Flamengo. It can be negotiated again.
