Tricolor Carioca acquired 70% of the economic rights of midfielder Hércules, formerly of Fortaleza, for R$29 million, making it the biggest sale in the history of Fortaleza and Ceará football.
The value exceeds the R$24.5 million spent on the sale of striker Moisés to Cruz Azul, from Mexico, in 2023.

Hércules agreed with Fluminense for five years. The contract will be signed after the player undergoes medical examinations.
At 24 years old, Hércules had a contract with Fortaleza until 2026 and was considered one of the main athletes in the squad due to his technique and finishing ability.
He arrived at Leão do Pici in 2021 to play for the under-23s, but soon caught the attention of coach Vojvoda, who called him up to the main team. The deal cost Fortaleza R$200,000, which bought it from Atlético-CE.
