A road accident killed 38 of the 45 people who were on a bus on the BR-116 highway, in the interior of Minas Gerais, in the early hours of this Saturday. The information is from the Minas Gerais Fire Department. In question, there was a granite stone that came loose from the truck that was traveling on the same road and hit the bus, causing it to collide with a truck and a car, which caused a huge fire.
There are only eight survivors, who have already been sent to receive medical assistance in the region. Firefighters, who were called to the scene at around 4am this Saturday in the Lajinha region, in Teófilo Oton, have already managed to extinguish the flames and remove the bodies of the more than 30 fatal victims, who were charred and trapped. The bus driver died in the accident. Among the victims is also a child.

The work to remove the bodies has already been completed. The Civil Police is now responsible for forensic work. Firefighters reported that the vehicle came from São Paulo and was on its way to Vitória da Conquista, in Bahia.
