After completing the signing of striker Erick Pulga, from Ceará, Bahia is very close to signing another reinforcement for 2025. The Squadron has forwarded the arrival of midfielder Erick, 27 years old, who belongs to Athletico-PR.

The information was released by journalist Nadja Mauad, who covers the Paraná teams.

For a few weeks now, Bahia has been negotiating the signing of Erick. The Bahian team beat competition from clubs like Internacional and Santos. Officially, the blue, red and white board does not confirm the agreement. The club is waiting for the exams to be carried out and the contract to be signed.

To have the athlete, the tricolor will pay 4.5 million euros (around R$28.7 million). The signing is part of the investment that Bahia will make in the squad for next season, when it will return to play in the Libertadores after 35 years of absence. The opponent in the first phase will be The Strongest, from Bolivia.

At 27 years old, Erick had a career with teams in Paraná. He played for PSTC and Operário-PR before arriving at Athletico-PR, in 2019. The midfielder had been an absolute starter for the red and black team.

In total, Erick played 282 games, scored 23 goals and provided 12 assists with the Athletico-PR shirt. During the period, the player was also part of the squads that won the Campeonato Paranaense four times (2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024) and the Copa do Brasil (2019) and Sul-Americana (2021) titles.

At the end of 2023, Erick even negotiated a move to Corinthians, who at the time offered R$27 million for the athlete. The agreement was rejected by Athletico-PR. However, with the relegation to Series B of the Brasileirão, Furacão decided to sell the player’s economic rights.

In addition to Erick Pulga and Erick, Bahia is looking for other players on the market. The tricolor has advanced negotiations for midfielders Rodrigo Nestor and Michel Araújo, both from São Paulo. The club is also targeting the arrival of a goalkeeper to fight for the starting position. The board tried Everson, from Atlético-MG, but Galo did not agree to sell the athlete.
