The opposition movement Slovakia strongly condemns the negotiations between Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He considers it a deplorable act and an international shame. This is stated in the opinion given to TASR by the spokesperson of the movement, Matúš Bystriansky.
“Robert Fico broke another bottom by meeting a mass murderer. In addition to the fact that the current government is totally impoverishing people, it is bringing Slovakia a huge international shame. It is unacceptable for the prime minister of a democratic country to shake hands with the person responsible for hundreds of thousands of victims“, Bystriansky stated.
The Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic arrived on Sunday for a working visit to Moscow, where he is currently negotiating with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The talks should cover the international agenda as well as the transit of Russian gas.
