West Palm Beach – US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to withdraw the waterway from Panama because of what he sees as excessive fees for using the Panama Canal. The fees charged are “ridiculous”, especially since the USA has shown “extraordinary generosity” to Panama, Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday evening – and also warned: He would not allow the canal to fall into the “wrong hands”, he played possible influence of China.
