The Centcom statement comes after Yemen’s Houthi Shiite rebels accused the United States and the United Kingdom this Saturday of bombing an area that houses military barracks on the outskirts of Sana’a, reported Yemeni television Al Masirah, spokesman for the insurgents. “US-British aggression targeting the Attan area in the capital Sanaa,” the channel said, without giving further details. The rebels, for their part, have been attacking ships linked to Israel in the Red and Arabian Sea since last year in “solidarity“with the people of the Gaza Strip over the Jewish State’s war in the Palestinian enclave, and they launch projectiles against Israeli territoryalthough most of them are intercepted. However, this same Saturday the Houthis – backed by Iran – claimed the launch of a ballistic missile against Tel Aviv, which impacted the Israeli city and left more than one dozen injured.
