Renan declared a state of emergency after inspecting the area that fell and left at least one confirmed dead and 15 missing. According to the minister, the aim is to shorten administrative procedures, for rapid reconstruction.
“I want to communicate to the Brazilian people who need this infrastructure to travel, both from an economic and social point of view, that we will, with the emergency declared, contract the reconstruction of the bridge in 2024,” he said.
“In addition to the contract this year, we hope to give a work order in the first days of 2025 for all the engineering works that will be carried out here, with the commitment to deliver this bridge in 2025. We will work dedicatedly to make this new bridge a case of resolution. ”, added the minister.
