Vegetable salad is usually prepared for special occasions – family events, Easter or Christmas. This unusual dish is a real delicacy for many people. There are many ways to prepare this salad. Basically, the basic version is based on carrots, parsley, celery, peas, pickled cucumbers and mayonnaise. However, you can also add it to salad other products, according to your own taste preferences.
Some people supplement with pickled mushrooms. Others enrich it with cooked meat (e.g. chicken). Michel Moran also has his own way of preparing a vegetable salad. It turns out that the famous restaurateur prepares this dish from addition of mustard. He also doesn’t forget about time. Thanks to these ingredients, the taste of a vegetable salad can become much more expressive.

Making a vegetable salad is not complicated. Probably the most important thing to be careful about is not to overcook the vegetables. Otherwise, as Michel Moran says, we will get “puree with mayonnaise”.
To make a vegetable salad you will need:
- 2 large carrots;
- 2 large parsley;
- 1 celery root;
- A piece of leek;
- 4 eggs;
- 1 can of canned peas;
- 2 pickled cucumbers;
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
- 1 teaspoon of mustard;
- Salt and pepper.
Preparation method:
- First, prepare the vegetables and wash them thoroughly. Put the carrots, parsley and celery into a pot with water and cook until they soften (be careful not to overcook them). Hard boil the eggs.
- Strain the vegetables and let them cool down a bit. Then cut them into small pieces and put them in a large bowl. Cool the eggs, too, then peel them and chop them. Add to vegetables.
- Scald the leek with boiling water and then chop it. Also chop the pickled cucumbers. Fill the bowl with ingredients with them. Add canned peas. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mustard and mayonnaise. Then add the mixture to the vegetables. Mix the entire salad thoroughly. Taste it and, if necessary, season with salt and pepper or add more mayonnaise.
A vegetable salad prepared this way will surely disappear from the table quickly. Be careful, because you may not be able to hand out your helpings in time.
