A plane crashed this Monday shortly after taking off at Fife airport, in Kinglassie, Scotland, according to the newspaper. The extent of the injuries and the number of people on board are not yet known.
The alert was given at around 11:40 am and emergency services immediately rushed to the scene. “Emergency services are responding near Fife Airport after a light aircraft crashed at 11.40am on Monday 23 December,” reported a Police Scotland spokespersonA Police Scotland spokesperson.
“Two machines and a rescue unit” were mobilized to the scene to assist emergency services. The police have also sealed off the area to begin investigating what happened. “Investigations are ongoing,” added the same source.
Airport entities are not commenting on the accident at this time.
