Authorities in Russia’s Transbaikal Region in Siberia canceled the one-time benefit for soldiers who have permanent consequences after injuries sustained in the fighting in Ukraine. The Ministry of Social Affairs there said that the money will instead be used to provide medical care and treatment for the soldiers and a fuel allowance.
