You love it nuts? They are high in calories, but full of ingredients that are valuable for your health, so you can eat them in reasonable amounts without feeling guilty. It is worth eating them as a snack, adding them to a sweet breakfast, or baking a delicious cake. Squirrel delicacydoes not require baking, and its preparation does not require much time or special skills. You can make it with afternoon coffee or tea, or serve it on the holiday table.
Before you start recreating the recipe, get the appropriate form. A baking tray measuring 18 x 25 cm will work best.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 600 g Petit Beurre biscuits (60 pieces),
- 500 g nuts (e.g. walnuts, cashews),
- 300 ml of milk,
- 150 g of brown sugar,
- 400 g of warm butter.
Crumble 15 biscuits in a food processor. Add 100 g of butter to them (liquefy them first). Mix thoroughly. Place the mixture on the bottom of a rectangular dish measuring 18×25 cm (you can also form such a rectangle on a cutting board lined with baking paper). Put in the fridge.
Grind the nuts quite finely. Set aside 150 g (this portion should be less crumbled than the rest), and combine the rest with milk and sugar in a pot. Bring to a boil over low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture absorbs the milk and thickens. Cool.
Beat the rest of the butter until fluffy. Without stopping mixing, gradually add the nut mass.
Divide the hazelnut cream into 4 parts. Spread one on the cooled base of crushed cookies. Align. Place a rectangle of 15 biscuits (3×5) on it. Spread another portion of cream. Align. In the same way, arrange the next 2 layers of biscuits and cream.
Decorate the last layer of cream with the previously reserved nuts. Put everything in the fridge for an hour.
