According to the City of São Paulo, restrictions will return to normal from January 13, 2025.
As of this Monday (23), the for passenger cars is temporarily suspended in . This measure, announced by the Department of Mobility and Traffic, allows drivers of passenger vehicles to circulate freely in the expanded center of the capital of São Paulo, without restrictions based on the end of the license plate. The rotation is valid from December 23rd until January 10th, 2025. Due to the weekend, the restriction will only come into force again on January 13th, a Monday.
It is important to highlight that the suspension of the caster does not apply to heavy vehicles, such as trucks, which continue to be subject to the usual restrictions. These vehicles cannot circulate in the expanded center during peak hours, from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm, according to the determined plate. Drivers who violate the rotation are subject to a fine of R$130.16 and four points on their driver’s license. The measure aims to facilitate mobility during the end-of-year holiday period, when the flow of vehicles in the city tends to increase.
