Coach Ivan Fenes’ wards are currently at the World Championship venue in Ottawa. The 19-year-old attacker arrived directly after the match of his Springfield Thunderbirds team, which was played on the ice of Laval in the AHL. He first headed to the TD Palace stadium, where the implementation team was preparing the Slovak cabin, from there he moved to the hotel to meet the players. He completed his first training session on Monday.
“I come in a great mood. I am glad to have already joined the team. Although I still had games, I watched the guys play the Finns and the USA. It will be a great honor for me to be the captain in such a big tournament, I will try to help the team on and off the ice as best as I can. Before the first match, we will have a meeting and strengthen the team. Our goal will be to go through the tournament match by match, but I would really like to reach the semi-finals and fight for medals.” said Dvorský according to the Slovak Ice Hockey Association (SZĽH).
