Paraguay’s Cerro Porteño announced a new signing for the 2025 season in the early hours of Wednesday (25). This is goalkeeper Gatito Fernandéz, one of Botafogo’s highlights in recent years.
He had been at Fogão since the 2017 season and was one of the names that marked Botafogo’s return to glory.
He arrives at Cerro Porteño as one of the names to fight for the Paraguayan club’s title. The transfer values were not disclosed.
Gatito Fernandéz spent time at Cerro Porteño’s base. After standing out at the Paraguayan club, winning national titles, he came to play in Brazilian football for Vitória, Figueirense and since 2017, for Botafogo.
