Police call for exhumation of ex-husband of woman with cake who killed 3

The death in September had not been investigated as it was considered natural at the time, but poisoning is now suspected

The Torres Civil Police (Rio Grande do Sul) is investigating the death of the ex-husband of the woman who prepared a cake associated with the deaths of 3 people and the hospitalization of two others – including the cook.

Police requested the exhumation of the body of the man, who died in September from food poisoning. According to the G1the death was not investigated by the police at the time because it was considered natural.

UNDERSTAND

A child and 4 women went to Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes Hospital after eating cake on Monday (Dec 23). Two of them died in the early hours of Tuesday (Dec 24). The 3rd victim died on the evening of the same day. Police are investigating the possibility of food poisoning or poisoning.

The police found several products that were out of date at the house of the woman who prepared the cake. The cake is being analyzed, as well as clinical and toxicological samples from those who ate it. The bodies of the women who died were sent for autopsy at the IGP (General Institute of Expertise).

O G1 stated that the first two women who died were identified as Maida Berenice Flores da Silva, 58 years old, and Tatiana Denize Silva dos Santos, 43 years old. The 3rd was not named. The first two had cardiorespiratory arrest and the last had post-food poisoning shock.
