Thousands of Portuguese people take the opportunity to travel on Christmas Day

For many families, Christmas Day will not be spent at the table, but on the go, at a time marked by the strike of workers at handling companies.

On Christmas Day, many Portuguese people break the tradition of family lunch and take advantage of the festivities to travel.

Dília Fernandes and Luís Moura left Montemor-o-velho at 5:30 am on Christmas Day and will only return to Portugal in 2025. They are an example of thousands of Portuguese people who break the traditional family lunch to spend Christmas flying.

For those closest to us, the absence at the table will be noticeable on this court, which will be different for Fernandes Moura, whowho combined the desire for this trip with the couple’s availability.

At airports, the festive season is marked by

Portway and Menzies, the former Grounforce, will stop by the end of the year, but this family doesn’t want to stay on land. And if all goes well, they will arrive in Thailand at lunchtime on Thursday.

This Wednesday the menu will be different from usual.
