Vienna – At first glance, one could mistake 27-year-old Ms. L. for a legal trainee as she sits on one of the armchairs in front of the hearing room. Dressed conservatively, long hair tied back, gold-rimmed glasses. It is therefore not surprising that she made an “excellent impression” on the landlady of a furnished 48 square meter apartment in Vienna-Ottakring and that L. was therefore able to rent the accommodation from summer 2023. Now the woman is facing charges of serious damage to property before the Vice President of the Vienna Criminal Court and Judge Christina Salzborn. She is said to have caused damage of 70,000 euros to the apartment.
