Botafogo’s official profile confused the twins Ángel and Óscar Romero when wishing Merry Christmas to the glorious squad.
The wrong publication on X was deleted this Wednesday (25) and then republished with the correct brother.
The brothers share the same profile on Instagram. However, in the Christmas publication, the first photo is of Corinthians and the second is of .
Followers of the Rio club’s profile noticed the exchange and joked about the confusion. The brother who plays for is wearing a shirt with green details while Timão’s brother is wearing a white shirt.

Óscar arrived at Botafogo coming from Pendikspor, in 2024. Ángel is in his second spell at Corinthians, where he played between 2014 and 2018 and returned in 2023.
The twins were revealed at the same club, Cerro Porteño, and between 2019 and 2021 at San Lorenzo, in Argentina.
