The body of Gabriel Fernando dos Santos Lima, the 17-year-old altar boy who died after being shot, is being laid to rest in the District of Irerê, in Londrina, in the North of Paraná, this Thursday (26). The teenager’s burial is scheduled for 4pm at the Irerê cemetery, according to Londrina’s obituary record.
Gabriel Lima was shot while sleeping at home. According to information from family members, the suspect invaded the family’s land, opened the teenager’s bedroom window and fired several shots.
The young man was rescued and taken to a health unit, but he did not survive his injuries. The family said that Gabriel was an altar boy, participated in the youth group at the church he attended, was a photographer at the institution and a catechist.
There is still no information about the motivation for the crime. Deputy João Reis, from the Londrina Homicide police station, is collecting information this Thursday (26) in Irerê to investigate the circumstances of the murder.
Friends published tributes to the altar boy and mourned the loss. “Our golden boy, our altar boy. A boy with an enviable education. It is impossible to believe, at such a young age, a boy who served God”, wrote a friend of Gabriel.
“And today you became a little star, the brightest of all… Thank you for everything, Biel”, wrote another colleague.
