Corinthians agreed to permanently purchase defender Cacá. The player, who was on loan to Timão from Tokushima Vortis, from Japan, is expected to sign the new contract in the coming days.
The information was initially published by Meu Timão and confirmed by the Itatiaia report. The total purchase will be 4 million dollars for 90% of the economic rights of the 25-year-old defender. The acquisition came from two goals achieved by Cacá during the 2024 season.
Cacá arrived in February 2024, amidst the dispute in the group stage of the Campeonato Paulista. Initially the team’s starter, he lost his position in the final stretch of the year, after being sidelined for a month due to injury.
Interestingly, the defender was among the top five scorers in 2024, with six goals scored. Cacá was behind only Yuri Alberto (31), Romero (16), Rodrigo Garro (13) and Memphis Depay (7).
