In the last few hours, the video of a young user known as @renzorimolo, which highlights a peculiar detail of public bathrooms in Zurich, Switzerland, went viral on the social network TikTok and was cited by .
In the video, which already has more than 1.5 million views, the user explains that, to access a public bathroom in Switzerland, you must first purchase a card from a vending machine, similar to those used to buy drinks. After purchase, the card must be swiped through a reader that opens the bathroom doors.
Inside the bathroom, the user shows that the toilets are equipped with lights at the top, these being green and red. Green lights indicate that the bathroom is free, while red lights indicate that it is occupied, making it easier to quickly identify availability.
Furthermore, the video highlights that the taps operate using sensors that detect the passage of the hand underneath, eliminating the need for manual touch. Next to the taps, there is an automatic dryer, contributing to the hygiene and convenience of users.
To exit the bathroom, you must scan the card you initially purchased again. This procedure allows access control and ensures that only users with a valid card can enter and leave the premises.
