More than 130 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the start of the war.
An Israeli attack killed five Palestinian journalists in front of a hospital in the Gaza Strip on Thursday night, the Ministry of Health announced. TASR refers to the AP agency.
According to the authorities, the blow hit a car with journalists in front of the hospital in the built-up Nusajrat refugee camp in the central part of the Palestinian enclave. According to AP, they worked for the local news agency Quds News Network, which also reported on the strike.
Israel’s military says it attacked a group of fighters from Islamic Jihad – a militant group affiliated with the Palestinian movement Hamas, whose attack in southern Israel on October 7, 2023 sparked the war in the Gaza Strip. The Committee to Protect Journalists says more than 130 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the war began.
