The death of young Gabriel Fernando dos Santos Lima, aged 17, caused great commotion on social media among friends and family. The altar boy was shot dead while sleeping at home, in Londrina, in the North of Paraná, in the early hours of this Wednesday (25).

Friends published tributes to the altar boy and mourned the loss. “Our golden boy, our altar boy. A boy with an enviable education. It is impossible to believe, at such a young age, a boy who served God”, wrote a friend of Gabriel.
“And today you became a little star, the brightest of all… Thank you for everything, Biel”, wrote another colleague.

According to reports from the family, where the young man lived, he opened the window of Gabriel’s room and fired several shots at the victim.
The family called for help, but because of the delay, they took the young catechist to Zona Sul Hospital, however, the victim did not survive and died at the scene. According to the police report, the doctor found four perforations in the abdomen, right leg, left and right thigh.
Gabriel participated in the youth group at the church he attended, was a photographer at the institution and a catechist.
