The (National Arts Foundation) wants to deliver the National Arts Policy at the beginning of 2025, a demand from the sector that has been coordinated with the system, states, municipalities, civil society and cultural institutions.
The policy was drafted by a . The objective is to promote access to the diversity of national artistic production, guaranteeing the right to the arts and consolidating the bases for public policies that encourage the arts.
At the beginning of the year, the Minister (Culture) will receive the proposal with its conceptual bases, guidelines and programs, drawn up based on axes such as national diffusion and internationalization and memory and research, among others. After the minister gives approval, the policy will be debated with the artistic sectors before being presented to President Lula (PT).
Funarte is also preparing the celebrations for the organ’s 50th anniversary, in December 2025.
“We have the mission to strengthen the ecology of the arts through milestones that guarantee rights and freedoms in each territory of this country that produces so much wealth that therefore needs to be distributed”, says the president of the foundation, .
She also states that the National Arts Policy “can transform the course of the history of public policies for the arts in Brazil”, guaranteeing protection, articulation, promotion of freedoms and rights through the federative pact and the sharing of responsibility.
