The plane that disappeared in Amazonas on Friday (20) was found after five days of searching in a dense forest region, in the municipality of Manicoré (AM), in the south of the state.
O The accident site was identified early this Wednesday afternoon (25) by a ground search party.
The teams arrived at the scene after residents of the Bom Jesus community reported hearing the plane pass.
Os two of the aircraft’s crew were dead. Breno Braga and Rodrigo Boer, the latter whose mother made an appeal on social media after her son’s disappearance.
The pilot’s mother was the one who reported his disappearance after two days without contact from her son. Rodrigo’s last message with his family was shortly before taking off from Porto Velho, capital of Rondônia, bound for Manaus.
As Rescue operations began last Saturday (21), with the support of 2 aircraft from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB)searching over a delimited area of around 2,595 km².
The small aircraft had no flight plan and was not detected by radar of air traffic control.
The Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) will investigate the causes of the accident.
