The Military Police, through the 8th Battalion, arrested three men in the early afternoon of this Tuesday (25), during an operation to combat drug trafficking in the Praia do Amarílio neighborhood, in Sena Madureira. The names of those detained were not released.

The arrests occurred after investigations identified the neighborhood as a place for storing and selling narcotics. Based on the information gathered, the military planned and executed the operation. During the approach, the suspects tried to flee, but were intercepted. In a personal search, portions of drugs were found on them.

The operation was intensified in the nearby forest area, where the military located 2.725 kg of marijuana and cocaine wrapped in a plastic bag. The location was identified as a point used to hide drugs.

The suspects were arrested and taken to the Sena Madureira Civil Police station, where they will remain at the disposal of the courts for legal proceedings.
