The de reached an unprecedented milestone in 2024, with the sale of approximately 95 thousand properties between January and November, according to data released by the . This impressive number represents an increase of 24% compared to the same period in 2023, when 76 thousand properties were sold. When considering the 12 months ending in November 2024, total sales reached 101 thousand units, exceeding the previous record of 74 thousand properties sold by 36%.
One of the main drivers of this growth was the program, which played a crucial role in increasing sales. More than half of the 101 thousand units sold were acquired through this government program. Initially, Secovi-SP had predicted a modest increase of 5 to 10% in purchases within the program, but the results exceeded all expectations. Furthermore, Brazil’s GDP, which was projected to grow 2%, is expected to end the year with growth of around 3.5%, contributing to the positive scenario in the real estate market.
The characteristics of the properties sold varied between off-plan units, under construction and ready-made ones, launched in the last 36 months. Two-bedroom properties stood out as the most sought after, representing 64% of units launched and 62% of sales in November. In terms of price, 43% of November’s launches had a value of up to R$264 thousand.
