In any case, things happened faster than in Austria: On Monday, the new government with 16 ministers was sworn in in Romania, just a few weeks after the parliamentary elections on December 1st. The office of head of government will once again be taken over by the Social Democrat Marcel Ciolacu. Ciolacu, who had actually already announced his retirement from politics, said regarding the rapid formation of a government: “It is an essential signal of stability that we are sending to the Romanian private sector and foreign investors.”
