Czech actor Jaroslav Drbohlav († 38) was one of the girls’ biggest idols. At the time when his fame was at its peak, he died a cruel and torturous death, reports the portal. The actor known as the prince’s assistant Vítek in Three Nuts for Cinderella would have celebrated his 75th birthday in 2022.
An acting career was destined for Jaroslav from childhood. As a child, he played in the House of Pioneers in Prague’s Karlín, he was also a member of a children’s radio ensemble and made his debut on the screen as a 6-year-old in the film Let’s Get Ready. No one had any doubts about his great talent after he appeared in the film Jurášek as an almost 10-year-old or as a 15-year-old in the movie Chickens on the Road.

During his short career, he made almost 40 filmsin which he portrayed charming goons, romantic heroes or lovers, the Czech website names. He became a favorite of director Václav Vorlíček and he cast him in all his films.
“His death affected everyone. The ending was really very sad and cruel. He was a talented actor who could still do a lot. He had a lot ahead of him. Too bad he left so soon. He was a great guy, I enjoyed filming with him. And the women were very attracted to him,” Vorlíček remembered him years ago.

As a 27-year-old, he got married and soon had a daughter, Evička. The actor enjoyed a happy family life, but it was marked by misfortune. At the age of 30, he fell ill with severe diabetes, which was not treated successfully. The actor gradually lost his sight. He had to say goodbye to his beloved stage boards for good when his condition began to deteriorate rapidly and he became blind. Leaving the theater, which was everything to him, meant another deep blow. According to the Czech website, he performed his last performance in the spring of 1983. Two years later died of sudden liver failure.
