Salads it’s a must-have on every menu New Year’s Eve party. The most popular are those with mayonnaise, but if you prefer something a bit healthier, try our recipe a simple avocado salad for dinner. This fruit also has quite a high energy value, but – unlike mayonnaise – it is full of ingredients valuable for health. Avocado salad for dinner is a source of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and phytosterols. Such a dish will be an excellent choice for heart sufferers, people with high cholesterol, and those who want to take care of beautiful skin.
Below you will find the basic recipe for this dish. However, there is nothing stopping you from adding additional ingredients, they will fit perfectly here olives, dried tomatoes, or red onion.
To do avocado salad for dinneryou will need:
- 1 red pepper,
- 4 dried tomatoes,
- 1 ball of mozzarella,
- a handful of fresh basil leaves,
- 1 avocado,
- 1 small clove of garlic,
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil,
- 1 teaspoon of lime juice,
- ½ teaspoon of turmeric,
- salt, pepper (to taste).
Remove the seeds from the peppers. Cut the pepper into cubes. Cut the dried tomatoes into pieces the same size as the peppers. Choose tomatoes that contain a lot of moisture. If they are really dry, soak them in warm water first. You can also use 2 fresh tomatoes (after removing the seeds).
Cut the mozzarella into cubes (after straining the liquid). Combine peppers, tomatoes and mozzarella in a bowl. Add chopped basil leaves.
Place peeled avocado (without pit), garlic, olive oil and lime juice in the food processor. Blend until a uniform sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Combine the salad ingredients with the avocado and turmeric dressing. Mix. Eat right away.
