Platforms total 500 million monthly searches; online casino market surpasses sports betting in search volume
Betano and BET365 dominate the online betting market in Brazil in the first half of 2024, according to research by ApostaHub with platform data Ubersuggest. The two companies accumulate more than 500 million monthly searches in the country.
Betano recorded 18.9% growth in search volume, increasing from 240 million to 285.3 million between January and July 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

The survey reveals significant changes in the sector. THE Pixbet showed a 41.4% drop in searches, reducing from 67.7 million to 39.7 million. Already the WHO grew 50%, jumping from 10.6 million to 15.9 million searches.
On the other hand, PixBet had a 41.4% drop in search volume, from 67.7 million in the 1st half of 2023 to 39.7 million in 2024.
Casinos lead searches
The study analyzed more than 5,000 Brazilian bettors and identified two main categories of online betting. Virtual casinos reach 1.32 million searches per year, surpassing sports betting, which registers 1.08 million searches per year.

Among casino games, slot machines dominate the preference of bettors, attracting 66.3% of users surveyed. Roulette appears in 2nd place with 21.4% of preference, followed by bingo, with 7.9% of players’ interest. Poker, a modality that mixes skill and luck, represents 4.4% of the choice of online casino bettors in Brazil during the 1st half of 2024.

Football remains the absolute leader in the preference of Brazilian sports bettors. Sport represents 73% of the total betting volume in the country. In 2nd place comes basketball, with 12% of preferences, driven mainly by the NBA. Tennis completes the podium with 8% of bettors’ interest, followed by MMA and eSports, which together account for 7%.

Regional preferences
The North and Northeast States concentrate searches for sports betting, with Sergipe leading the way. ranking. For online casinos, the North region dominates interest, with Amazonas presenting the highest search index.
