SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) – ChatGPT, a popular OpenAI chatbot, suffered a failure on Thursday afternoon (26), leaving thousands of users without access to the service. The company confirmed the instability, stating that both ChatGPT, API and Sora are recording high error rates.
The problem began to be reported at around 3:43 pm, according to Downdetector, a website that monitors online service outages, with more than 1,290 notifications about errors. Users who tried to access the chatbot encountered difficulties from logging in to sending commands, with the interface partially loading or not responding to prompts.
So far, there is no official forecast for the complete restoration of the system, but OpenAI has promised updates as soon as possible.
The situation generated diverse reactions on social media, with many users expressing frustration and looking for alternatives to their needs.
