The construction sites that the future government will have to deal with are diverse. This also applies to cultural policy, which at the federal level has to subsidize various renovations, conversions and expansions in addition to those in the figurative sense. Some of these projects have already been taken into account in the current budget or have been firmly anchored in the federal financial framework until 2027, while others are based on agreements, for example at the political level. Overall, there is a provisional financing volume of more than 375 million euros by 2033. It is unlikely that there will be any savings here. In any case, the savings pen was not an issue in the negotiations of the “Art and Culture” subgroup.
