Vice-governor of , Felicio Ramuth () assumed this Friday (27) the position of interim governor of the state. He occupies the position because the governor (Republicans) requested a 15-day leave of absence at the end of the year.
According to a statement on the subject sent to on Wednesday (18), private matters led to the dismissal.
The Government Communication Secretariat informed that Tarcísio will travel abroad, spend the break with his family and return to his position on January 11th. According to the SheetTarcísio goes to the United States and returns on the 10th, one day before resuming his position.
Last year, Tarcísio also took leave to travel abroad at the same time. At that time, Ramuth also took over as interim governor.
With a more discreet profile, Ramuth was mayor of São José dos Campos (2017-2022) until he resigned to seek a position in the state government.
He was a member of the PSDB for 28 years before going to the PSD, an acronym in which he ran as vice-president on Tarcísio’s ticket. The politician has a degree in administration and an MBA in public management from FGV.
Ramuth would seek, in the last general elections, the position of governor, but his party’s negotiations led him to go on the ticket as Tarcísio’s vice-president, a figure then sponsored by the former president (PL).
Before joining the São Paulo Government ticket, Ramuth even criticized his current ally, saying that Tarcísio, who is from Rio, started the pre-campaign badly, an attitude he called a “bad example”.
He has also criticized Bolsonaro, Tarcísio’s ally, but said he prefers the former president to current president Lula (PT).
Before that, in the pre-campaign period for the state elections, he stated that none of the politicians would run for President and that the ideal would be a “third way”.
On more recent occasions, however, he demonstrated support for Bolsonaro, such as when he attended a rally in favor of the politician on Avenida Paulista in February this year.

Ramuth’s support for Anderson, who was once his vice-mayor, moved the dispute between the then candidate and opponent Eduardo Cury (PL).

Ramuth was announced on the first day of Tarcísio’s government, in 2023, to coordinate actions at the state level for the Cracolândia region at the beginning of the government.
