Goiás officially announced the signing of striker Zé Hugo, 25 years old. The now former Vitória player was not bought from Azuriz-PR and will go to Esmeraldino to compete in Series B of the Brazilian Championship in 2025. At the new club, the winger will be who played for Leão in 2024.
Zé Hugo entered the field 80 times wearing the red-black shirt, scoring seven goals and contributing three assists in the two years he spent at Toca do Leão. The striker from Paraíba was important in the campaign that ended with the Brazilian Championship Series B title . The player also leaves Vitória as Baianão champion.
Last week, the striker used social media to officially say goodbye to Vitória. The player posted a video on his profile, where he narrates moments of his time at Leão and thanks the club and fans for two years wearing the red and black shirt.
“Thank you, Esporte Clube Vitória! Thank you, Red and Black Nation! You gained a fan in April 2023 and I will always carry with me the happy moments I experienced here. A big hug to you, with all my gratitude. GO ZÉ HUGO!”, wrote the athlete on his social network.
