Faro will host, this Friday, the 27th, the first international edition of the GLITCH clubnight, organized in partnership with the Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Músicos (ARCM). This event, which promises to be unforgettable, is part of the Creative Embassies international network, an initiative that promotes artistic exchanges between five European countries, celebrating diversity and inclusion.
Under the motto of creating a safe and welcoming space, GLITCH transforms the dance floor into a place where everyone is encouraged to be their most authentic self. The event will combine international and local artists, promoting an environment of connection and creativity.
Celebration of diversity
The program stands out for its richness and diversity of artists. Among the international highlights is Renceau (Netherlands), a DJ known for his energetic mixes of house, speed garage and rave. With a career that includes performances at emblematic venues such as Amnesia Ibiza, this will be his debut in Portugal, promising a vibrant and unforgettable set.
Another highlight is live electronic music duo Velocity Made Good (Netherlands), who use synthesizers, guitar and drums to create a unique fusion of EBM (Electronic Body Music) and raw rock energy. His performance promises to involve the audience in an intense and emotional experience.
The queer DJ and activist duo GLITCH Sound System, founders of the GLITCH collective, will also be present. Recognized for creating safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community, their performances combine genres such as techno, melodic house and trance, always with a contagious energy. This will be its first event in Portugal, marking a moment of celebration of freedom and diversity.
Featured local talents
The event will also feature the participation of local artists, including the live project Brownstrobe, formed by Khalil Suleman and Nicolas Silva. This duo combines oriental, African, Brazilian and European roots, creating performances full of improvisation and energy that mix alternative techno, indie dance and tribal percussions. More than music, Brownstrobe is a celebration of its cultural heritage, translated into immersive and captivating experiences.
The visual aspect will be enriched by Zayle Art, a visual artist with more than 20 years of experience. Inspired by movements such as Dadaism and Surrealism, Zayle transforms environments with live projections that complement the music, creating a unique audiovisual experience for participants.
A collaboration for inclusion
This event reflects ARCM’s commitment to offering diverse and inclusive programming, highlighting the transformative power of music and art. GLITCH, as an LGBTQIA+ collective, reaffirms the importance of creating safe and respectful spaces, where freedom of artistic and personal expression is celebrated.
The event will also feature representatives from the Hit The North and Up North arts development programs, which collaborate with local artists to strengthen creative networks in Europe. These initiatives are supported by the Creative Embassies network, which connects communities and artists from different countries, promoting cultural exchange and artistic innovation.
The importance of safe and creative spaces
GLITCH is more than a music event. It’s a movement dedicated to creating spaces that celebrate diversity and inclusion. Each element of the program is carefully thought out to provide a unique experience, where everyone feels welcome.
The dance floor will be transformed into a space of connection and celebration, offering the public the opportunity to explore new sounds and forms of artistic expression. For GLITCH and ARCM, this event symbolizes the power of art and music to unite communities and inspire positive change.
Faro as an international stage
With this event, Faro reinforces its position as a vibrant and innovative cultural center, capable of attracting events of international relevance. The partnership between GLITCH and ARCM demonstrates the strength of artistic collaborations, promoting the Algarve as an inclusive and dynamic cultural destination.
Whether through the electronic rhythms of Renceau and GLITCH Sound System, the live performances of Velocity Made Good and Brownstrobe, or the mesmerizing projections of Zayle Art, the night of this Friday, December 27th promises to be an unforgettable celebration of diversity, creativity and inclusion.
